As the Estimating Manager for Vital Heating Solutions, you will be responsible for the financial
management of our Commercial and Domestic projects, recognising viable new opportunities and
compiling tenders to successfully win new business. You will negotiate and agree on new high-value
contracts for the company.

- Managing client relationships, identifying opportunities for new contracts
- Analysing data and creating reports to identify areas of business growth
- Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms
- In-depth knowledge of the industry
- Monitoring project profitability
- Working alongside project managers and the company Director, and the Assistant Director
Key Responsibilities;
- Managing client relationships, identifying opportunities for new contracts
- Analysing data and creating reports to identify areas of business growth
- Responsibility for margin confidence, Commercial and Domestic risk and cash flow of multiple
- projects
- Manage Commercial and Domestic contracts within the business and clients from the initial enquiry
- through to completion
- Understand the requirements of the customers and ensure that projects are managed to satisfy
- those requirements
- Providing Commercial and Domestic assurance of project margin performance through accurate
- forecasting and identification of issues giving rise to commercial risk
- Management of Commercial and Domestic performance (KPIs), cash flow, and margin management
- (commercial value creation) and commercial risk on projects
- Support the project delivery team in the direction of the contract, by visiting clients, attending
- meetings and visiting projects sites
- Identify any potential issues and provide relevant reports and actions
Key skill sets;
- Ability to assist the business to achieve and exceed profitability targets. Commercial awareness is
- required to assess margin, risk and cash flow
- Extensive experience of managing Commercial and Domestic contracts with clients is essential.
- Demonstrating your knowledge and your experience in the construction industry is essential. The
- individual will have appropriate qualifications, and professional membership and hold a valid CSCS
- card.
- Ability to operate successfully in a Commercial and Domestic environment and previous experience
- of managing project Commercial and Domestic performance is essential.
