We have already adapted to the strict COVID-19 guidelines with great diligence, and we are doing everything in our power to provide a safe working environment for our employees, sub-contractors and our valued customers – ensuring business continuity for all.
Vital Heating Solutions have robust contingency plans in place and make every effort to maintain our unparalleled service levels. All of our Engineers are fully trained and equipped in the strict working practices brought in by the government during the Covid-19 pandemic.
To minimise the risk of infection for all we have outlined the following working practices if an Engineer attends your property:
When you book an appointment, we will ask if anybody in the household is showing any COVID-19 symptoms and if anybody within the household is vulnerable or shielding
Engineers will sanitise their hands before entering the property and regularly throughout the visit
Engineers will wear the appropriate PPE (gloves and mask) and customers will be instructed to stay at least 2-metres away and/or ideally isolate in another room during the appointment
If a job requires two or more Engineers (e.g. a new boiler installation); the Engineers will socially distance as much as possible. If this is not possible extra precautions and further PPE (a visor) will be used as per government guidelines
All staff members, including sub-contractors are frequently tested and consistently temperature checked every morning before starting work and when leaving the premises before a customer appointment
For everyone’s safety, we request from our customers that where possible to leave all internal doors propped open, and handles and surface areas are thoroughly sanitised before and after appointments; also, if possible, please ensure windows are open for ventilation, thus minimising the risk for all
