Salary: £32,500 £44,500 per annum (dependant on experience)

Well, here at Vital Heating Solutions we are on the lookout for a self-motivated, proactive, and friendly individual – someone who is attentive and passionate about what they do. The successful Domestic Gas Engineer & Plumber will be responsible for the installation of Boilers (including service, repair, and commissioning), Unvented & Vented Cylinders, Underfloor Heating; exposure to LPG, Renewable Heat Pumps and HVAC is desirable – but not essential.

We work with various prestigious and commercial clients across the North West and the United Kingdom; our contracts cover facilities inclusive of education, medical, leisure, commercial, and industrial sectors. However, this role will predominantly cover installation, service, and maintenance for our domestic clientele throughout Lancashire…

This truly unique opportunity is a versatile and continuously progressing role, which requires high levels of self-motivation and management flexibility, and you will be supported by the office function and other Engineers as and when required. You must be deadline-driven, logical, and with the proven ability to operate under pressure at times.

The successful Domestic Gas Engineer & Plumber will be responsible for:

  • Installation work of domestic heating systems
  • Fault-finding, service and maintenance on various domestic heating systems
  • Maintenance on various boilers, hot water cylinders, underfloor heating etc
  • Collection and fitting of new parts
  • Carrying out reactive calls and planned maintenance
  • Updating service records and timekeeping information in an accurate and timely way
  • Updating client reporting systems in an accurate and timely way
  • Working safely in line with health and safety procedures, and of course COVID compliance

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACS Domestic Gas Safe (CCN1, CPA1 etc.)
  • NVQ Level 3 – Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • +3 years in a similar role
  • Experience with fault finding, breakdowns and general service of boilers
  • Current CSCS card
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Basic DBS Certificate
  • Current Driving Licence (NO DR10 / DR30)
