As the successful Duct Fitter, you will install a wide range of ventilation systems. This includes Spiral, Rectangular, and Square ductwork, plus fire dampers, kitchen extract systems, and fan units.

As a Duct Fitter, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings to plan duct layouts.
- Fabricating, cutting, and assembling ductwork to exact measurements.
- Installing and remediating fire dampers, kitchen extract systems, and fan units.
- Producing clear, hand-drawn schematics for bespoke installations.
- Carrying out ductwork leakage testing to verify performance.
- Undertaking general building tasks like site preparation and fixing brackets.
- Using your initiative and experience to troubleshoot on-site problems.
- Collaborating with colleagues and clients to meet project deadlines.
Location & Hours:
- You will work on projects primarily across the North West.
- The role may occasionally require travel and overnight stays.
- You must be flexible to work both day and twilight shifts.
- Twilight shifts run four nights a week, from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM. This gives you Fridays off and an excellent chance for a long weekend.
Experience/Qualifications:
- You have proven experience installing Spiral, Rectangular, and Square ductwork.
- You can competently work from mechanical drawings and provide accurate technical schematics.
- You have a good understanding of HVAC, Fire Damper, and Kitchen Extract Systems.
- You are self-motivated and comfortable with lone working and decision making.
- You hold a valid CSCS card and understand health and safety procedures.
- You possess a high level of numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
- We highly value experience with ductwork leakage testing. An NVQ in duct installation is also desirable, and we will invest in this qualification for you after a successful probation period.
