Reactive Gas Engineer

Location: Burnley

Overview of Role:

The primary responsibility of the Gas Engineer will be to maintain and repair heating systems in our clients’ & customer properties. They will ensure that the heating & hot water systems are operating efficiently and safely, and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair gas systems and appliances in our customers residential and domestic properties
  • Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues or safety hazards
  • Repair or replace faulty components or equipment
  • Test gas systems for leaks and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding gas system operation and maintenanc
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget – Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records, are adhered to during your daily work.

Requirements: 

  • Gas qualifications are essential for this role including as a minimum CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
  • Ability to assemble, weld, and use power tools effectively
  • Experience in plumbing or carpentry is a plus
  • Proficient in basic math calculations
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
  • Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage
