As the successful engineer, you will install, maintain, and repair various AC systems. This includes split units, VRV/VRF systems, and AHUs. You will work across a range of sectors like education, healthcare, and commercial environments. As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems.
  • Interpreting mechanical drawings and system schematics accurately.
  • Conducting fault-finding and performance diagnostics on HVAC systems.
  • Commissioning new installations to ensure correct operation.
  • Ensuring all work meets current regulations and best practices.
  • Using your initiative to resolve on-site issues efficiently.
  • Communicating clearly with clients and team members.
  • Following all company Health & Safety procedures.

Location & Hours:

  • You will work on projects primarily across the North West.
  • The role may occasionally require travel and overnight stays.
  • You must be flexible to work both day and twilight shifts.
  • Twilight shifts run four nights a week, from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM. This gives you Fridays off and a great opportunity for a long weekend.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • You hold a current F-Gas certification (Category I or II).
  • You have a strong understanding of AC systems, including VRV/VRF and Splits.
  • You can confidently read mechanical drawings and technical schematics.
  • You have experience with commissioning and fault-finding.
  • You have a valid CSCS card and a strong knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • You are self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • You possess a high level of numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
  • We also consider the following desirable: an NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, experience with heat pumps, and PASMA/IPAF certification. Electrical knowledge is also advantageous.
